Designed, developed and implemented a web based application to administer data interchange between BP, Exel and Transnet.

Project:
Designed, developed and implemented a web based application to administer data interchange between BP, Exel and Transnet.

Duration:
The project has been completed in 5 months.

Background:
Exel and BP have entered into an agreement of co-operation regarding the mutual use of the Fuel Master technology currently used by BP. Exel will implement Fuel Master technology at selected sites. Based on this agreement, the BP Exel alliance has landed a portion of the Transnet contract.
The following Satellite systems were developed:
Lubes Discount on bank POS
Diesel Discount on bank POS
Transaction Management
70/30 Split

Technical:
An intranet website built for the administration of the satellite systems utilising the following technologies:

  • Presentation - Javascript, HTML
  • Server Side - Tomcat, Java, Java Server Pages
  • Database - JDBC into Oracle 8i procedures
  • Environment - Windows Web Server and Unix Database Server
